Neurodiversity-Affirming Counselling

for Adults in Mississauga and across Ontario

Online counselling for autistic adults and other neurodivergent people seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and how to live in ways that align with who they are.
Our therapists provide neurodiversity-affirming counselling to autistic adults and adults with ADHD, OCD, bipolar, and other neurodivergent profiles through secure online sessions. Rather than applying one-size-fits-all approaches, we work collaboratively to help you make sense of your experiences, navigate relationships, and build practical strategies that align with how your mind actually works.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy offers a space to understand the patterns that shape your experiences in relationships, work, and daily life. For many neurodivergent adults, this includes making sense of long-standing dynamics around masking, expectations, and feeling out of sync with the environments around them.

Through neurodiversity-affirming counselling, we work together to:
  • Identify and understand recurring patterns in relationships and communication
  • Reduce the impact of chronic stress, burnout, and masking
  • Develop approaches that align with how your mind works, rather than forcing adaptation
  • Navigate social and professional environments with greater clarity and confidence
Our approach is collaborative and exploratory, focusing on insight, practical change, and building ways of living that feel sustainable over time—especially within complex or high-demand environments.

Couples Therapy
Relationships can become strained when partners experience and interpret the world in fundamentally different ways. In neurodivergent and mixed-neurotype relationships, differences in communication, processing, and expectations can lead to recurring misunderstandings that are difficult to resolve without a deeper level of clarity.
Couples therapy offers a space to slow these patterns down and understand what is actually happening beneath them.

Through this work, we support you to:
  • Recognize and make sense of recurring interaction patterns between you
  • Understand how each partner experiences communication, stress, and connection
  • Identify where assumptions, misinterpretations, or unmet needs are shaping conflict
  • Develop shared language for navigating differences without escalation or shutdown
Rather than focusing on “fixing” either partner, we work collaboratively to build insight, mutual understanding, and more stable ways of relating—so that differences can be navigated without losing connection.

Family Therapy
Family dynamics can become difficult to navigate when differences in communication, expectations, and lived experience are not fully understood. In families that include neurodivergent members, this often shows up as recurring misunderstandings, misinterpretations, or patterns that repeat across time.
Family therapy provides a space to slow these patterns down and understand how they developed.

Through this work, families can:
  • Identify patterns in communication, expectations, and roles that contribute to conflict
  • Understand how different family members experience the same situations in very different ways
  • Recognize how past experiences and assumptions continue to shape present dynamics
  • Develop clearer ways of relating that reduce misinterpretation and reactivity
Rather than focusing only on improving communication, we work with the underlying dynamics that shape how family members relate to one another—supporting more stable, informed, and sustainable ways of interacting over time.
